  • the letters CR
  • the last 4 digits of your registered credit or debit card number
  • the amount you want to top up, between £5 and £95
  • for example, to top up £10 with card ending in 1234 text CR 1234 10

Remember to include spaces between each set of digits.

We’ll text you to confirm that your top-up has been successful.

Need to know

You can register a card in the EE app or your online account.

Top up by phone

You can top up by credit or debit card, top up someone else’s phone or redeem an E-voucher by phone. We'll accept Visa, MasterCard and Maestro UK credit and debit cards, as well as international credit or debit cards, when you top up by phone.

  1. Call 150 from your EE device - calls cost 25p per call on pay as you go if you choose to speak to an EE Guide
  2. Choose Top Up and follow the instructions

We’ll ask you to set up a 4-digit PIN code when you call for the first time. This will make topping up faster and more secure. To reset your PIN, call 150 from your EE phone, select the option to top up by card, then follow the instructions.

Top up using an E-voucher or E top-up card

An E-voucher is a card or receipt printed with a unique 16-digit voucher number and is valid for EE accounts for 6 months. You can purchase them from EE stores. E top-up cards have 13-digit numbers. You can buy both cards from over 100,000 shops around the UK or anywhere you see the green top-up logo.

Find your nearest E-voucher or E top-up card store:

To top up with an E-voucher:

Text 150 with VO,  then a space and then the 16-digit voucher number, for example, VO 1234567891234567.

To link an E top-up card to your device:

Text 150 with ETU, then a space and then the 13-digit E top-up card number for example, ETU 1234567891234. To top up, choose an amount, between £5 and £50 in £5 increments. Your E top-up card will be swiped, and the amount added to your card

You can also call 150 from your EE phone and follow the instructions to top up.

What do I do if I've lost my top up card?

Visit an EE store to pick up another. You'll need to link your new E top-up card to your phone before you next top up.

Your E top-up card holds no personal information and is only linked to your phone so no-one else can use it and you won't need to cancel it.

Top up abroad

  • In the EE app and go to Plans then Mobile and then select Top up
  • Log in to your account, go to Home, Plans and subscriptions then Mobile and then select Top up
  • Call +44 7953 966 250 and top up using a credit or debit card
  • or Call 360 direct from your EE phone
