4GEE – what do the experts say?

We’re not the only ones that think our superfast 4GEE mobile coverage is the best thing since sliced bread, you know.

In their extensive tests, independent network benchmarker RootMetrics found our 4GEE coverage to be hands-down faster than every other major network, while techie magazines and websites have been queuing up to praise its speed, usefulness and coverage.

Cable.co.uk compared running a smartphone on the old 2G and 3G networks to “owning a supercar and never taking it above 30 miles an hour”, adding that “4G was the missing link between what you wanted to do with your smartphone, and what you actually could – and it’s missing no longer.”

So, there you have it: where once your sparkly new iPhone 5 was a Reliant Robin, it’s now a Ferrari Testarossa, all thanks to us.

Matt Warman, Consumer Technology Editor at the Daily Telegraph, was pretty impressed with our 4GEE coverage too. “In just a few days of using it, 4G already makes a huge difference to how I’ve used my mobile,” he said, during a test drive around London. “By Tower Bridge the Speed Test app on an iPhone 5 hit 40Mb/second – that meant I could start watching an HD film instantly. Even by London Bridge station the 15Mb/second speeds were ample and unprecedented.”

Gerald Lynch at Tech Digest didn’t hold back with his praise for the 4GEE experience either. “It's incredible,” he gushed.  “Apps downloaded almost instantaneously, as did web pages. Streaming iPlayer or YouTube videos was a stutter-free experience, while downloading full albums took mere seconds.”

“It was similarly great experience using Google's Maps, with directions and even the slower Street View loading incredibly quickly,” continued Lynch. “A particularly useful use of 4G speeds, seeing how frustrating it can feel to be lost while having to wait for maps to update.”
