Changes to top up payment

  • EE
  • Orange
  • T-Mobile

From 3 March 2016, we’re changing our pay as you go card payment system. Find out more about how it will make topping up by credit or debit card even better and more secure.

EE’s new trusted partner

Payments will be managed by Vesta, EE's new trusted partner. Vesta offers a secure payment system which will help us deliver more advanced top up methods in the future.

You'll be able to carry on topping up on pay as you go as normal using your registered Visa, MasterCard or Maestro debit or credit card. You can do this online, by calling 150 for free from your EE phone or by free text message.

Any top up on EE or T-Mobile will be shown on your bank/credit card statement as Vesta *EE Top Up along with an 0808 free of charge helpline phone number.

Payment cards

We'll no longer be able to accept American Express or Diners Club cards.

Registering a UK Visa, MasterCard or Maestro card is easy in My EE and makes top ups faster and simpler. However if you don't have an alternative card, you can still top up in any shop with the green top up logo using a voucher or your top up swipe card.

Payment cards can be easily managed in My EE so if you don’t want to keep your registered cards, you can simply remove them. Instead, you can top up in any shop with the green top up logo using a voucher or your top up swipe card.

Setting up a top up code

When you use our automated phone service for the first time, you'll be asked to set up a four-digit top up PIN code for security reasons.

As we're upgrading our payment system, from 3 March 2016 you'll also be asked to set up a four-digit PIN code if you already have a registered payment card. This will make top up faster and more secure.

This four-digit PIN code will need to be entered before every top up using this service. If you want to reset this PIN, just call 150 free from an EE or T-Mobile pay as you go phone and select the options to top up using a credit or debit card.
