If your phone is currently locked to any other network other than EE you’ll need to get it unlocked. If you're on Orange or T-Mobile, you can find instructions on how to unlock your phone.
If you’re on another network, please contact your service provider for instructions on how to unlock your phone. It’s pretty simple but your existing provider needs to manage this for you.
If your phone is unlocked or is locked to EE - and the SIM is still not working - please get in touch with us by calling 150 for free from an EE phone or 07953 966 250 (Check call charges with your provider).
- How do I keep my number?
If you're moving to EE from another network and want to keep your number, you'll need to order the MTV TRAX from EE SIM and the following information:
- PAC code - You can get your PAC (Port Authorisation Code) by calling your current mobile service provider. PAC codes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue
- Active MTV SIM from EE – make sure you’ve topped up at least £15 to activate your pack
- Temporary number - A temporary number is the number provided to you when you took the MTV SIM from EE
If you submit the form before 17.30 on a working day your number will be transferred the next working day; if after 17.30 on a working day, or if your request is made on Saturday or Sunday, it will take two working days to transfer.
Please be aware number transfers are not processed on Bank Holidays.
