Next Day Replacement

For a £50 (incl. VAT) fee you can get a next day replacement if your device develops a fault in the first 2 years. (Not available for  Apple products for the first 12 months or SIM only customers.) Geographical restrictions and exceptional circumstances apply.

Some important things to know

Some restrictions apply to Next Day Replacement, which is not available to some post codes, and during bank holidays and exceptional circumstances (weather events). The replacement will be from refurbished stock that has been tested and is fully functional.

If you purchase Insurance & Protection at a different time to a new connection or upgrade, there is a 3 month minimum term at the start unless you cancel the cover within 14 days.

The insurance element of Full Cover or Damage Cover is underwritten by Allianz Insurance plc. Allianz Insurance plc is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority. Financial Services Register No. 121849. We may refuse cover. Insurance and other terms apply, see www.ee.co.uk/terms. Breakdown and all other features of Full Cover and Damage Cover will be provided by EE.

How long does the cover last?

Full Cover or Damage Cover can be active for a maximum period of sixty months (five years). When you near the end of the sixty month period we’ll contact you to see if you’d like to purchase the product again.

If you buy Insurance & Protection at a different time to your new connection or upgrade, there is a three month minimum term at the start unless you cancel within 14 days. Otherwise, you can cancel Insurance & Protection at any time with no additional fees or charges. We will refund the part of the monthly premium paid for the number of days after we receive your cancellation instructions.  

What's covered

Full Cover will give you worldwide cover on your device against loss, theft, damage and break downs.

Damage Cover will give you worldwide cover against damage, but not loss or theft.

What is not covered

Applies to Full Cover only

Loss or Theft when device is:

  • Intentionally left in a place where you or an authorised user can’t see it but others can
  • Knowingly left on display in an unattended and unlocked vehicle
  • Left in an unoccupied and unlocked building
  • Theft not reported to the police (local police if abroad) 

Applies to Full Cover and Damage Cover

Damage is not covered when it is caused:

  • Deliberately by you, or an authorised user or someone acting on their instructions
  • By repairs carried out by someone not authorised by the insurer
  • By an alteration or modification to any internal parts or to the operating system 
  • By dents, scratches or other marks that do not stop it working normally

General Exclusions

Applies to Full Cover, the insurer will not pay a claim:

  • Where a device is lost by someone other than you or an authorised user

Applies to Full Cover and Damage Cover, the insurer will not pay a claim:

  • For the costs of installing or re-purchasing any content such as data, music photos apps or software
  • For accessories
  • For the costs of unauthorised use (calls, texts and downloads)
  • Where the bill for the Service Plan is not paid and up to date

Breakdown next day replacement (not available to SIMO customers)

If your device develops a fault in the first 2 years, and you don’t want to wait for your device to be repaired, you can get a next day replacement for a £50 (incl. VAT) fee. Not available for Apple products for the first 12 months as devices are referred to Apple.
