WiFi is a wireless technology that allows PCs, laptops and other devices including mobile phones to connect to a network, and usually the internet.
It's useful when you're within a building, such as your home, office or a café, but you need to be near a WiFi router to maintain a connection.
Here's how to locate and access nearby WiFi networks on your iPhone.
Set up WiFi:
- To locate nearby WiFi networks, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, then tap your chosen network to join.
- Depending on the WiFi network you have chosen, it may be necessary to enter a password.
- Once connected, the WiFi icon in the status bar displays connection strength. The more bars you see, the stronger the connection.
