Want to get a shiny new phone or tablet but not at the end of your plan or due an upgrade yet? You might be able to get your hands on it by upgrading early.

Can I upgrade early?

Yes, we can let you upgrade early. But you’ll have to pay an early upgrade fee.

You need to be:

  • on an eligible pay monthly plan with EE
  • six months or more into your contract with more than 45 days until your current plan ends

Your early upgrade fee will depend on how long you’ve got left to run on your plan.

Upgrade Anytime

Alternatively, if you're eligible for Upgrade Anytime you can get a new phone just 15 days after starting a new plan.

You can’t upgrade early if you’re a mobile broadband or business customer.

Device credit agreement

If you have taken out a device credit agreement with us, you can upgrade your phone whenever you like from day 15 of a new plan, you just need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.
