What is a data roaming cap and how does it work?

  • Go to section

A data roaming cap is when you reach your data allowance abroad. Find out more.

How does it work?

How does it work?

You aren’t subject to a data roaming cap in EU countries, meaning you can use your phone as you would at home.

If your domestic plan is more than 15GB you’ll be subject to a Fair Use Policy of 15GB – meaning you can use up to (but not over) 15GB of data whilst in the EU.

Good to know

If you’re abroad in a non-EU country, standard roaming charges apply, and you may be subject to a data roaming cap.
