EE TV Assisted Installation

If you've booked an assisted installation to help set up your EE TV service, here's some handy information.

We also have help with any queries about needing an aerial and setting up using a SCART cable.

How do I change or cancel my appointment?

If you wish to change or cancel your assisted installation appointment, call us on 0800 079 8586*, or 150** from your EE, T-Mobile or Orange mobile phone.

Hours to call are:

  • Monday to Friday 08:00 to 20:00
  • Saturday 08:00 to 18:00

Appointment Slots are available between:

  • 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday
  • 7am to 6pm Saturday

We're sorry, but if you cancel your appointment the day before your appointment after 2pm you may still be charged.

 

How much will the installation cost?

The assisted install service costs £50 and will be added to your Home Broadband bill. It will appear on your statement as: TV Equipment set up charge.

 

What will the engineer do before the day of install? 

The engineer will call the night before to introduce themselves and ensure you're happy with the 2 hour timeslot that's been booked.

 

What will the engineer do at my house?

  • Ensure your router is connected to the set top box and broadband is working properly
  • Make sure there is a full speed optimisation of your broadband and home set-up
  • Unpack the box and set up (via Ethernet cable or WiFi) your EE TV service
  • Offer to extend your cable depending upon the set-up of your home
  • Demonstrate how to use the service
  • Download the app to your chosen device
  • Demonstrate how to use the app
  • Ask you to complete a brief customer satisfaction survey based on the work carried out by the engineer

 

What will the engineer not do?

  • The engineer can't install an aerial. You need to make sure you have one before s/he arrives.
  • Check whether you can receive a digital TV signal. You can check this by going to freeview.co.uk/availability

 

*Calls to 0800 079 8586 from an EE home phone are free of charge. Charges from mobiles and other networks may vary.
**Calls to 150 from EE, T-Mobile or Orange mobile phones are charged as per your price plan.
