Bigger and better by the day
We're doubling our 4GEE speed - we've already got 20 cities covered:
Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield, Southampton, Sunderland, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, West Bromwich and Wolverhampton.
And we're planning to roll it out to more towns and cities soon.
Meanwhile our expansion of the regular 4G network is continuing at breakneck speed - with 160 towns and cities (and over 65% of the UK population) covered.
Here's the list of the latest 10 towns where we've launched 4G:
Our engineers are working flat out to make sure we roll out 4GEE to the rest of the UK too.
And it's not just 4GEE we've been working on. We've beefed up speeds on our 3G network with a technology called DC-HSPA. All our 4G phones are compatible with DC-HSPA, so when you're not covered by 4GEE, you can get our fastest 3G speeds, on the UK's biggest 3G network.
We're replacing all our old transmitters to reduce dropped calls by 50%.
You can check out where the latest coverage is on our Coverage Checker.
Performance and coverage may vary between 3G and 4G as the technologies operate over different frequencies. Your signal is also affected by your device, congestion and location.
Using 4G abroad
4GEE is only available in the UK. See more information on using your EE device abroad.
Using 4G devices without 4G coverage
If you move out of a 4G area, your 4G device will connect to our 3G network - the biggest in the UK - and provide you with fast 3G speeds. Or our 2G network.
