Pay as you go add-ons

  • EE

  • T-Mobile

An “add-on” is a portion of minutes, messages or data, that you can buy using your credit, to give you better value than our standard rates. Here are some useful things to know about add-ons:

  • Add-ons start as soon as you buy them and last for either seven or 30 days
  • If part of your pack runs out, you’ll still be able to buy data, minutes or messages to see you through till your new pack starts
  • You can buy an add-on by logging into My EE, downloading the My EE App, texting or calling 150

Add-ons are allowances of minutes, texts or data you can buy as a one-off on top of your plan allowances. Add-ons expire after either seven or 30 days - and they're not automatically renewed.

They are useful to tide you over when one of your plan allowances runs out before your next plan starts.

Buying a minutes or texts add-on could be better value than standard pay as you go rates, depending on how much you use.

And you'll need a data add-on to use the internet on your phone or mobile broadband/4G WiFi device if your plan doesn't include data, or if your data allowance has run out.

Checking add-on allowance

You can check your add-ons at any time by logging in to My EE, on the My EE app, or by texting BUNDLES to 450 (it's free).

Add-ons are only meant to be used for a short period of time, then they expire. So you can buy what you need, when you need it. We'll send you a free text to let you know when you're running low and when your add-on has run out.

Plan allowances and add-ons

You can have an add-on active on your account even if your plan allowance hasn't run out. And even if you've got other plan allowances left, you can still buy an add-on to cover one that's run out.

The allowance that expires first willl be used first. If you've bought an add-on before your next allowance period starts, the add-on allowance will be used first, before any of the same allowances (e.g. minutes) from your plan. Your other pack allowances will be used as normal, and as soon as your add-on finishes, your other plan allowance will start to be used.
