Blackberry bold 9780-add and view appointments


You can use the calendar to keep track of your appointments on your BlackBerry Bold 9780.

Follow these instructions to add a new appointment using normal creation.

Add an appointment

  1. Find Calendar
    Press the Menu key twice
    Scroll to Calendar and press the Navigation key

  2. Add an appointment
    The calendar is displayed
    Press the Navigation key

  3. Enter subject and location
    Highlight the required time for the appointment and press the Navigation key
    Scroll to Subject and key in the subject for the appointment
    Scroll to Location and key in the location

  4. Select an all day event
    Scroll to All Day and press the Navigation key to activate or deactivate the function
    When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the appointment is an all day appointment

  5. Select start time
    Scroll to Start and key in the start time
    Use the Navigation key to switch between month, day, year and time

  6. Select end time
    Scroll to End and key in or select the required end time
    Use the Navigation key to switch between month, day, year and time

  7. Select duration
    Scroll to Duration and key in the duration
    Use the Navigation key to change between hours and minutes

  8. Select time zone
    Highlight the drop down list next to Time Zone and press the Navigation key
    Highlight the required time zone and press the Navigation key

  9. Add alarm
    Highlight the drop down list next to Reminder and press the Navigation key
    Highlight the required time interval or None and press the Navigation key

  10. Add participants
    Highlight the field below Attendees and key in the required participants

  11. Select recurrence
    Highlight the drop down list next to Recurrence and press the Navigation key
    Highlight the required setting and press the Navigation key
    Depending on your choice, you also need to select settings for: Every, End, Days and Relative Date

  12. Select settings for conference calls
    Scroll to Conference Call and press the Navigation key to activate or deactivate the function
    When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is activated

    If you activate the function:
    Follow the instructions on the display to select the required settings

  13. Mark appointment as private
    Scroll to Mark as Private and press the Navigation key
    When the box next to a menu item is ticked (V), the appointment is marked as private

  14. Select status for appointment time
    Highlight the drop down list next to Show Time As and press the Navigation key
    Highlight the required setting and press the Navigation key

  15. Add note
    Scroll to Notes and key in additional information, if required

  16. Save and exit
    Press the Menu key
    Scroll to Save and press the Navigation key
    Press Disconnect
    Press the Return key to return to standby mode
 

View appointments

 

    Find Agenda
    Press the Menu key twice
    Scroll to Calendar and press the Navigation key
    Press the Menu key
    Scroll to View and press the Navigation key
    Scroll to Agenda and press the Navigation key

  1. View appointments
    A list of your appointments is displayed
    Use the Navigation key to scroll through the appointments

  2. Exit
    Press Disconnect
    Press the Return key to return to standby mode
