Blackberry curve 8520-activate flight mode

In flight mode the connection to the network is deactivated, so as not to cause interference with sensitive equipment on a plane or in a hospital, for example.

You can still use the remaining functions when flight mode is activated, but you cannot send messages or make calls.

Follow these instructions to activate or deactivate flight mode on your BlackBerry Curve 8520.

  1. Press the Menu key
  2. Scroll to Manage Connections and press the Navigation key
  3. Scroll to Mobile Network and press the Navigation key to activate or deactivate flight mode
  4. When the box next to the menu item is not ticked, flight mode is activated
