This article explains how to set up WiFi Calling on the Blackberry Priv. Just follow the four simple steps below to get started.
1. Connect your phone to WiFi
Can't find your WiFi network? Read our instructions on how to manually search for a network.
2. Update to the latest software version
From the home screen, tap the Apps icon. Scroll to and tap Settings. Scroll down to and tap About phone and tap System updates, then tap on Check for Update. If an update is available, follow the prompts to download and install the new software.
3. Switch WiFi Calling on
- From the home screen, tap the Apps icon.
- Scroll to and tap Settings
- Tap More (in ‘Wireless & networks’ section)
- Set the Wi-Fi Calling toggle switch to On.
- WiFi Calling is now enabled
4. Wait for your confirmation message
Once you’ve turned WiFi Calling on, we'll activate it for you within 24 hours.
You’ll receive a confirmation text when WiFi Calling has been activated. (If you are a corporate customer, you will not receive this message, as you’ll already be set up and ready to go).
The WiFi Calling indicator will appear at the top of your screen.
You’re now ready to make and receive calls and text over WiFi.
If you’re calling someone else while using WiFi Calling and they’re on either WiFi Calling or 4G Calling you'll hear the international dialling tone.
Please note: WiFi Calling is only available on the EE version of the Blackberry Priv, bought directly from us in one of our stores, online at EE.co.uk, or through our telesales team.
