Blackberry torch 9800-copy contacts from SIM card

You can copy contacts from the SIM card to the phone memory. This can be useful if you change the SIM card, as it saves you keying in all the information again.

Follow these instructions to copy contacts from the SIM card to the phone memory on your BlackBerry Torch 9800.

  1. Find SIM Phone Book
    Press the Menu key twice
    Press Contacts
    Press the Menu key
    Press SIM Phone Book

  2. Choose option
    Choose one of the following options:
    Copy a contact from the SIM card to the phone memory, go to a
    Copy all contacts from the SIM card to the phone memory, go to b

    a) Copy a contact from the SIM card to the phone memory
    Press Search and key in the first letter of the required contact
    Press the required contact
    Press Full Menu
    Press Add to Contacts
    The phone memory with the SIM card information is displayed
    Key in additional information, if required
    Press the Menu key
    Press Save

    Please note: If the contact is already in the phone memory, Add to Contacts is not available.

    b) Copy all contacts from the SIM card to the phone memory
    Press the Menu key
    Press Copy All To Contacts

     

  3. Exit
    Press Disconnect
    Press the Return key to return to standby mode.
