Blackberry torch 9800-automatic key lock

When automatic key lock is activated, the keypad is locked automatically when no key has been pressed for an optional number of minutes.

Follow these instructions to activate or deactivate the automatic key lock on your BlackBerry Torch 9800.

  1. Find Password
    Press the Menu key twice
    Press Options
    Press Security
    Press Password

  2. Activate or deactivate
    To activate the automatic key lock:
    Press Enable
    When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), automatic key lock is activated
    Press Lock After
    Press the duration before the key lock is automatically activated

    To deactivate automatic key lock:
    Press Enable
    When the box next to the menu item is empty, automatic key lock is deactivated

  3. Save settings
    Press the Menu key
    Press Save
    Key in an optional phone lock code and press Enter
    Key in the phone lock code again and press Enter

    Please note: When the phone locks after the set duration, you need to key in the phone lock code to unlock the phone.

  4. Exit
    Press Disconnect
    Press the Return key to return to standby mode
