Bright Box router - change security to WPA

You can change wireless settings to WPA2, WPA or back to the default WPA/WPA2 Mixed Mode settings from the router's admin pages. To do this:
  1. From a computer connected to your Bright Box router, go to 192.168.1.1 (opens in a new tab or window)



  2. The router's LOGIN SCREEN will open



  3. Enter the username and password for the admin pages
    • The username is admin (all lower case)
    • The password can be found on a sticker on your router



  4. Click LOGIN



  5. Select BASIC



  6. Select Wireless Settings



  7. The WIRELESS SETTINGS page will open
  8. In the security field, check WPA is selected
  9. In the WPA mode menu, you can choose the version of WPA you wish to use - default settings are WPA/WPA2 Mixed Mode



    - WPA/WPA2 Mixed mode is compatible with most operating systems
    - WPA offers increased compatibility with older operating systems, but is limited to 54 Mbps
    - WPA2 offers enhanced security, and faster wireless n speeds

  10. Click SAVE SETTINGS



  11. Your new settings will be applied



  12. Refresh your wireless software and connect using the new security details
