Htc desire-picture messaging


Picture messages can contain pictures, sound and video clips.

You can only send picture mesages to phones which support picture messaging or to email addresses.

Follow these instructions to write and send a picture message.

Please note: You need a picture message configuration before you can send and receive picture messages.

  1. Find New message
    Press arrow up to access the main menu
    Press Messages
    Press New message

  2. Enter recipient
    Press To and key in the recipient's phone number or email address

  3. Write the picture message

    Follow the steps below to write a picture message.

    Enter subject
    Press the Menu key
    Press Add subject
    Press Subject and key in the required subject

    Insert saved picture
    Press the Menu key
    Press Attach
    Press Picture
    Press Pictures
    Press the required folder
    Press the required picture
    Press Done

    Insert new picture
    Press the Menu key
    Press Attach
    Press Picture
    Press Camera
    Point the camera lens at the required object
    Press the Navigation key to take the picture
    Press Done
    Press Done

    Please note: To take pictures using the phone's camera, you need to insert a memory card.

    Insert saved video clip
    Press the Menu key
    Press Attach
    Press Video
    Press Videos
    Press the required folder
    Press the required video clip
    Press Done

    Insert new video clip
    Press the Menu key
    Press Attach
    Press Video
    Press Camcorder
    Point the camera lens at the required object
    Press the Navigation key to start recording
    Press the Navigation key again to stop recording
    Press Done

    Please note: To record video clips using the phone's video recorder, you need to insert a memory card.

    Insert saved sound recording
    Press the Menu key
    Press Attach
    Press Audio
    Press Music & sounds
    Press the required sound recording
    Press OK
    Press Done

    Insert new sound recording
    Press the Menu key
    Press Attach
    Press Audio
    Press Voice Recorder
    Press the record icon to start recording
    Press the stop icon to stop recording
    Press Done

    Please note: To record sound using the phone's sound recorder, you need to insert a memory card. Click here to see how

    Insert slide show
    Press the Menu key
    Press Attach
    Press Slideshow
    Follow the instructions on the display to insert the required pictures

    Insert business card from the phone book
    Press the Menu key
    Press Attach
    Press Contact (vCard)
    Press the required contact
    Press the required contact details
    When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the menu item is selected
    Press OK

    Insert appointment
    Press the Menu key
    Press Attach
    Press Appointment (vCalendar)
    Press the required appointment
    Step Insert GPS information
    Press the Menu key
    Press Attach
    Press Location
    Press Current location, Footprints or Find on map and follow the instructions on the display to insert the required GPS information

    Write the text
    Press Edit
    Press the required item
    Press the message field
    Write the required text
    Press Done

  4. Send the message
    Press Send

  5. Exit
    Press the Home key to return to standby mode
