Htc desire-use your phone as a modem


Your computer can use the data connections set up in the phone to connect to the internet.

Follow these instructions to establish a GPRS data connection for internet access from a computer.

  1. Find Access Point Names
    Press arrow up to access the main menu
    Press Settings
    Press Wireless & networks
    Press Mobile networks
    Press Access Point Names

  2. Create new or edit existing data connection
    To create a new data connection:
    Press the Menu key
    Press New APN

    To edit an existing data connection:
    Press the required data connection

  3. Enter data connection name
    Press Name
    Key in COMPUTER GPRS and press OK

  4. Enter APN name
    Press APN
    Key in everywhere and press OK

  5. Enter username
    Press Username
    Key in eesecure
    Press OK

  6. Enter password
    Press Password
    Key in one2one
    Press OK

  7. Save and activate data connection
    Press the Menu key
    Press Save
    Press the field next to the data connection you have just set up (COMPUTER GPRS) to mark it

  8. Exit
    Press the Home key to return to standby mode
