Htc one xl-copy and manage your contacts

Follow the steps below to copy, transfer or manage contacts on your HTC One XL.

Importing contacts

1. Start on your homescreen and tap the All applications tab
2. Scroll to and select People
3. Tap the Menu key
4. Select Manage contacts
5. Select Import/Export contacts
6. Chose from available options (Import/Export from phone storage, Import/Export from SIM card)
7. Chose where to save contact to (eg sync with email account or save to phone)
8. Import will then begin automatically and will display how many contacts have been completed

Creating a contact

1. Tap Phone
2. Tap Phone again in the bottom left corner and enter the number you wish to save
3. Tap Save to people
4. You have two options - you can either Create new contact or to Save to existing contact
5. Creating a new contact will ask you where you want to save the contact type - either on the phone or SIM. Using the phone allows you to enter more information
6. A blank contact will then load. Tap on Edit to enter the contacts name, then tap OK
7. Enter additional information such as email address
8. Once you have finished adding your information just tap Save (bottom right of the screen)
9. Saving to an existing contact allows you to add the number to a contact you have already created. You'll see your list of contacts - all you need to do is locate the existing contact you want to add the number to and tap that contact
10. Choose what type of contact is it from the list and the tap Save

Editing a contact

1. Tap People - this is a list of all your contacts
2. Find the contact you want to edit and tap that contact - you'll now see all of the information for that one contact
3. Tap Menu then Edit contact. You can now change details as required.
4. Once complete, tap Save

Deleting a contact

1. Tap People - this is a list of all your contacts
2. Find the contact you want to delete and tap that contact - you'll now see all of the information for that one contact
3. Tap the Menu key then tap Delete
4. Confirm by tapping OK
