Htc one-manual email setup

Find out how to manually setup email on your HTC One, just follow these simple steps.

Before you proceed remember to make sure your internet is working, if not please refer to the internet setup guide

  • Open the Applications list.
  • Tap Mail.
  • Select what type of account: POP3, IMAP or Exchange.
  • Enter your Email address.
  • Enter your Password.
  • Tap Manual setup.

Incoming server settings

  • Protocol: should already be poplulated from the previous step (POP3, IMAP or Exchange) (Orange is POP).
  • Email address = Customers email address.
  • POP/IMAP server: Customers POP/IMAP server details (Orange is
  • Security type: None.
  • Server Port = Customers server Port details (Orange is 110).
  • Handset will check incoming settings before proceeding.

Outgoing server settings

  • Login required: Tick.
  • Username = Customers username.
  • Password = Customers password.
  • SMTP server: Customers SMTP server details (Orange is
  • Security type: None.
  • Port = Customers Outgoing Port details (Orange is 587).
  • Handset will check outgoing settings before proceeding.

New account

  • Account name: Customers choice.
  • Your name: Customers choice.
  • Tap Finish setup.

The handset will now navigate to your inbox and retrieve your messages from your email account.
