Nokia c3 touch and type-set up picture messaging (manual)

If you're a T-Mobile customer, follow these instructions to set up the phone for picture messaging. If you're an Orange customer, your settings are at the end of this article.

  1. Find Personal settings
    Press Menu
    Press Settings
    Press Configuration
    Press Personal settings

  2. Create new data connection
    Press Options
    Press Add new
    Press Multimedia msg

  3. Enter data connection name
    Press Account name
    Key in PictureMessage and press OK

  4. Enter picture messaging server
    Press Server address
    Key in http://mms and press OK

  5. Deactivate default data connection
    Press Use pref. acc. pt.
    Press No

  6. Activate proxy server
    Press Acc. point sett.
    Press Proxy
    Press Enable

  7. Enter IP address
    Press Proxy address
    Key in and press OK

  8. Enter port number
    Press Proxy port
    Key in 8080 and press OK

  9. Edit bearer settings
    Press Bearer settings

  10. Enter APN
    Press Pack. data
    Press Clear to clear the input field
    Key in everywhere and press OK

  11. Select network mode
    Press Network type
    Press IPv4

  12. Select authentication type
    Press Authentic. type
    Press Normal

  13. Enter username
    Press User name
    Key in eesecure and press OK

  14. Enter password
    Press Password
    Key in secure and press OK
    Key in secure and press OK

  15. Save data connection
    Press Back
    Press Back
    Press Back
    Press Disconnect to return to standby mode

  16. Select data connection
    Press Menu
    Press Messaging
    Press Msg. settings
    Press MMS
    Press Config. sett.
    Press Configuration
    Press Personal config.
    Press Account
    Press the data connection you have just set up (PictureMessage)

  17. Exit
    Press Disconnect to return to standby mode



  1. Find the settings
    Press Menu and select Settings.
    In Settings, select Configuration, then Personal Settings.
    In Personal accounts, press Options, then Add new, then Multimedia msg., or if the account list is empty press Add, then Multimedia msg...
  2. MMS data settings
    Enter the following information:
    Account name: Orange MMS
    Server address:
    Use pref. acc. pt.: No
    Enter Acc. point sett.:
    Proxy: Enable
    Proxy address:
    Proxy port: 8080
    Enter Bearer settings:
    Pack. data orangemms
    Network type: IPv4
    Authentic. type: Normal
    User name: Orange
    Password: Multimedia
    Press Back three times.
    In Personal accounts, press the new profile Orange MMS a few seconds and press Activate.
    The new profile is saved and activated.
