Setting up WiFi Calling on the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016)

This article explains how to set up WiFi Calling on the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016). Just follow the three simple steps below to get started.

1. Connect your phone to WiFi

Can't find your WiFi network? Read our instructions on how to manually search for a network.

2. Switch WiFi Calling on

  • From the home screen, tap the Phone icon
  • Tap More in the top right corner
  • Tap Settings
  • Scroll down to the bottom and tap the box for WiFi Calling
  • Tap OK to confirm
  •  WiFi Calling is now enabled

3. Wait for your confirmation message
Once you’ve turned WiFi Calling on, we'll activate it for you within 24 hours.

You’ll receive a confirmation text when WiFi Calling has been activated. (If you are a corporate customer, you will not receive this message, as you’ll already be set up and ready to go).

You'll see a new icon at the top of your screen next to the WiFi symbol.

You’re now ready to make and receive calls and text over WiFi.

If you’re calling someone else while using WiFi Calling and they’re on either WiFi Calling or 4G Calling you'll hear the international dialling tone.

Please note: WiFi Calling is only available on the EE version of the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016), bought directly from us in one of our stores, online at EE.co.uk, or through our telesales team.
