Samsung Galaxy mini-set up picture messaging


Follow these easy to follow instructions to set up picture message on your Samsung Galaxy Mini.

Follow these instructions to set up the phone for picture messaging.

  1. Find Access Point Names
    Press the menu icon
    Press Settings
    Press Wireless and networks
    Press Mobile networks
    Press Access Point Names

  2. Create new data connection
    Press the Menu key
    Press New APN

  3. Enter data connection name
    Press Name
    Key in T-Mobile Picture Message and press OK

    An APN (Access Point Name) is used to establish a connection from the phone to the Internet. In order to send and receive picture messages, the phone needs a data connection.

  4. Enter APN
    Press APN
    Key in eezone
    Press OK

  5. Enter username
    Press User name
    Key in eesecure and press OK

  6. Enter password
    Press Password
    Key in secure and press OK

  7. Enter picture messaging server
    Press MMS
    Key in http://mms and press OK

  8. Enter IP address
    Press MMS proxy
    Key in 149.254.201.135 and press OK

  9. Enter port number
    Press MMS port
    Key in 8080 and press OK

  10. Enter country code
    Press MCC
    Key in 234 and press OK

  11. Enter network code
    Press MNC
    Key in 30 (if you're using an EE or T-Mobile SIM), or key in 33 (if you're using an Orange SIM) and press OK

  12. Select authentication type
    Press Authentication type
    Press PAP

  13. Select APN type
    Press APN type
    Press MMS

  14. Save data connection
    Press the Menu key
    Press Save
    Press the Home key to return to standby mode

  15. Find Settings
    Press the messages icon
    Press the Menu key
    Press Settings

    If you activate request for delivery reports, you will be notified when your message has been delivered. This requires that sending of delivery reports has been activated by the recipient.

  16. Activate or deactivate request for delivery reports
    Press Delivery reports below Multimedia message settings to activate or deactivate the function
    When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is activated

    If you activate the function, you will receive all picture messages when you are in your home network.

    If you deactivate the function, you will be notified before you receive picture messages when you are in your home network.

  17. Select setting for picture message download in home network
    Press Auto-retrieve to activate the function
    When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is activated

    If you activate the function, you will receive all picture messages when you are out of range of your home network.

    If you deactivate the function, you will be notified before you receive picture messages when you are out of range of your home network.

  18. Select setting for picture message download when roaming
    Press Roaming auto-retrieve to activate the function
    When the box next to the menu item is ticked (V), the function is activated

    Please note: The menu item is only available if you have activated picture message download in home network in step 17.

  19. Exit
    Press the Home key to return to standby mode
