Let your imagination run wild and have fun at home this BAFTA season with our movie themed Augmented Reality (AR), film set filters, on Instagram. Record a Mini Movie up to 1 minute long, featuring your 5-14 year old superstar, for the chance to attend the EE BAFTA red carpet to meet the stars on Sunday 19 February at Royal Festival Hall, London. This competition is now closed.

A fantastic jury panel from the film industry will select one winner and two runners up to attend.

EE MINI MOVIE MAKER COMPETITION T&Cs

The competition is open to parents and/or legal guardians whose children want to star in a EE Mini Movie between the ages of 5-14 who are residents of the United Kingdom – Entries must be submitted by the Instagram account owner of a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult. Entries can only be submitted by direct message to EE’s Instagram account.

The competition opens Tuesday 31 January and closes on Thursday 9 February at 5pm – any entries submitted after this date will not be considered.

The winner and runners up will be contacted between Friday 10 - Saturday 11 February by direct message from the EE Social team. If EE receives no response within 24 hours of contact, they have the right to contact another suitable candidate.

Once the winner has accepted the prize the EE social team will request an email address and contact number so that their agency Cake Media Ltd can follow up with further communications, itinerary for the day and prize details.

All entries must feature one of the EE Mini Movie AR (Augmented Reality) Film set filters - available to use free of charge on EE’s Instagram. Entries should be no longer than 1 minute. This time frame is the maximum time the Instagram story effect feature allows you to record.

Entries must be free from inappropriate language and must follow Instagram’s community guidelines. Any entries that abuse the community guidelines will be discounted.

Entries can include as many participants as possible, however we can only accommodate a maximum of 3 children from the winning and runner up entries to attend the EE BAFTA red carpet.

The parent or responsible adult submitting the entry must have checked that everyone that features in the EE Mini Movie entry is able to attend the EE British Academy Film Awards Red Carpet on Sunday 19 February 2023 at the Royal Festival Hall, London. Winning children may be accompanied by a maximum of two responsible adult chaperones. Once a winning entry has been decided, EE will agree with the winner the time and duration of their red carpet appearance.

Please be aware that while on the red carpet in EE’s designated stage area, those featured in the winning or runner up entry will be asked to join EE’s red carpet presenter and meet actors and industry guests (all children must be chaperoned by a responsible adult, and it does not necessarily have to be the same one that submitted the entry).

EE reserves the right to verify the validity of entries (including an entrant's identity, place of residence and social media content) and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or has contravened these terms and conditions. Please remember that attendance at the EE BAFTA Red Carpet is solely at EE’s discretion, and EE can withdraw the prize or the winner if, in the EE's reasonable opinion, it is deemed necessary or if circumstances arise outside of the EE's control.

Video and photography content of the winners and runners up speaking with the presenter or actors and industry guests on the red carpet may be used across EE and BAFTA social channels for promotional materials.

By entering your video to the competition, you agree to the fact your entered competition content may be used across EE and BAFTA socials for promotional materials.

Employees of EE/BT and BAFTA are not permitted to enter the competition.
