Increasing Digital Skills

Making sure everyone enjoys the benefits of getting online

What we're doing to help

For starters, we've created a section of our website for our customers that provides the necessary pinch-and-a-punch to motivate people to get online, and inspire them to make the most of being connected.

Our Digital Living section makes it really simple for users to live safely online, doling out tips and tools on e-safety and data protection. You'll find ideas for parents and useful clips to share as well: it’s bursting with resources and downloads to help people live a safe and rewarding digital life.

We're also working in partnership with UK Online Centres to train a network of EE Digital Champions, employee volunteers who take these tools and resources into the community and inspire people to get online. The programme focuses on sharing the benefits of digital living.

We're also advancing our commitment to sharing the power of connectivity through our partnership with Go ON UK, a digital inclusion charity set up by Martha Lane Fox. The charity aims to make the UK the world's most digitally literate nation and, through our programmes (and further initiatives we’ll launch in the future), we'll be doing everything we can to support this aim.

We also want to provide the UK with the best possible mobile network - providing superfast connections while you're on the go as well as at home or work. You can read more about the importance of boosting the country's mobile infrastructure on our Go ON UK pages and in the Responsible Network section.

Staying safe online

Keeping children safe online is all about understanding the risks, and talking to your children about them.
