Timothée Chalamet has received rave reviews for his leading performance in Call Me by Your Name for director Luca Guadagnino. He recently wrapped shooting the title role opposite Steve Carrell in Beautiful Boy, a film directed by Felix van Groeningen and produced by Plan B for Amazon Studios. Timothee will next appear in Greta Gerwig’s directorial debut Lady Bird, starring opposite Saoirse Ronan and Lucas Hedges for producer Scott Rudin, and will also be seen in Scott Cooper’s upcoming feature Hostiles, opposite Christian Bale and Rosamund Pike.
Last year, Timothée opened to rave reviews and received Drama League and Clive Barnes nominations and the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Actor for his performance in the world premiere of John Patrick Shanley’s play Prodigal Son, also produced by Scott Rudin. He also received glowing reviews for his performance in Miss Stevens, starring opposite Lily Rabe for director Julia Hart which premiered at SXSW in 2016, as well as the coming-of-age drama Hot Summer Nights for director Elijah Bynum, which opened at the Austin festival this summer.
Timothée previously starred in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, opposite Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, Jessie Nelson’s Love the Coopers and Jason Reitman’s Men, Women & Children, as well as the independent feature film One and Two, from Sundance Grand Jury winner Andrew Droz Palermo, which premiered at Berlin and SXSW. Timothée was first noticed in the second season of Homeland opposite Claire Danes and Damian Lewis for Showtime.
