How do I upgrade broadband?

If you’re with EE, just login to your account and enter your postcode to see what broadband deals are available in your area. You can then select the plan you’d like to upgrade to and any extras you might want to add.

How do I upgrade to fibre broadband?

You can easily upgrade to fibre, if it’s available in your area. If you’re with EE, you can get EE Fibre broadband with speeds up to 67 Mbps. Just log in and enter your postcode to see what's available. We’ll send you a new smart hub router, and you might need an engineer visit.

When will Openreach upgrade broadband in my area?

Openreach is responsible for connecting homes to broadband in the UK. Fibre broadband is now widely available, and Openreach is fast building full fibre broadband across the country. If fibre hasn’t arrived in your area yet, most broadband providers won’t be able to offer it.

Is it worth upgrading your broadband?

Whether you should upgrade depends on what you want from broadband. If you currently have standard broadband but fibre or full fibre is available in your area, an upgrade is a great idea. You’ll not only get faster broadband but cut down on lag and keep a reliable connection even with multiple devices. It will make your life easier, even though your monthly cost will increase. How much does it cost to upgrade your internet?

The higher your broadband speed, the higher your monthly payment, so upgrading your plan will increase your broadband cost – and there might be additional termination or set-up fees. If you’re switching to EE from another provider, you might be charged for terminating your contract early. EE mobile customers also get 10% off all broadband plans and an extra mobile data boost every month.

How do I make my broadband faster?

The type of broadband or speed you can get depends on what’s available in your area, but there are a few tricks you can do to try to speed up your current connection:

Check your hub is in the best place. If you’re too far, your broadband speed will slow down.
Check your WiFi connection. Sometimes going old-school and connecting to your router with a cable can boost your speed.
Turn WiFi off on devices you’re not using. Having too many devices connected at once can slow your speed.
