How do I know which line my calls are on?

Contacts
When you first set up your eSIM, all your contacts will be assigned to the line you chose as your default voice line. There’s an indicator in each contact that gives you the option to change which line you use for that contact.

Calling a number that’s not in your contacts
If you're calling someone who’s not in your contacts, you can pick which line you call that number from in the options on screen.

Incoming calls
For incoming calls, there’s an indicator that shows which line you're receiving the call on.

The indicator is the first letter of the name you assigned to each line. For example, if you called your lines Personal and Work, the call indicator would be a P or a W.

Can I use iMessage and FaceTime on both lines?

Yes. As long as you're using iOS 13, you can use both lines for iMessage and FaceTime:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Messages
  3. Select Send & Receive

Can I use data when I'm on a call?

If you're taking a call on the line that isn't your default data line, data won't work unless you turn on Mobile Data Switching, which will automatically switch lines for mobile data when you're on a call:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Messages
  3. Select Mobile Data Switching
