How do I get the MTV Play offer?

For 6 months’ access to MTV Play, plus the data on us text MTV to 150. Reply YES to the follow up text message (make sure you have the bill payer’s permission) and you will receive further instructions on how to activate and enjoy your offer.

What happens after the six month offer period?

We'll text you in the final month of the offer to let you know that you'll be moving onto a paid subscription in the following month. The monthly cost of £3.99 will automatically be added to your EE plan at the end of the offer period if you do not cancel. The data you use after the six month offer has ended will come out of your allowance.

You can cancel an MTV Play subscription at any time by texting STOP MTV to 150.

If you opt to cancel within the six months, you’ll continue to have free access to MTV Play until your next renewal date, which is on the monthly anniversary of the service being added to your account. We’ll let you know via text when that date is and again on the day offer expiry.
If you opt to cancel after the six month offer has ended, your subscription will end at your next monthly renewal date, which is on the monthly anniversary of the add-on being added, and you will have full access to MTV Play until that date. Note, if at the time of cancellation, you have not already been billed for that period it will be charged in full on your next bill.

Who's eligible for this offer?

If you're an EE customer with a pay monthly, 12 month SIM only or tablet SIM plan, you're eligible. If you've already had the offer, you won’t be able to activate it for a second time: this offer is one per customer.

What if I have an existing MTV Play subscription?

If you already have an MTV Play subscription, you can still take advantage of this offer. To make sure you’re not charged, you’ll need to cancel your existing direct payments to MTV Play via your Apple or Google Store account.

Will the data streaming still be free if I travel abroad?

It depends where you go: anywhere your plan allows inclusive roaming, which means all EU countries and, if you’re a Max plan user who upgraded or joined after 10 May 2017, the USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. If you're roaming in a country that isn't included in your price plan, any data streaming will decrement your standard monthly allowance. See ee.co.uk/roaming for countries currently included in your plan.

Please note that whilst streaming on the MTV Play app during the six month offer period won’t affect your data allowance, the content available on the app may differ between countries due to entertainment rights agreements.

The legal bit

MTV Play: Available to customers on 4GEE consumer and small business Pay Monthly plans (except Business Connect customers) requesting MTV Play for the first time. Subject to credit check. Offer available until 31.08.20. MTV Play is available for six consecutive months. The six months starts as soon as we receive your request for MTV Play. If MTV Play is removed from your account at any point during the six month period, you’ll be unable to get it again for a free period. At the end of the offer period, you’ll be automatically charged £3.99 (inc. VAT) a month until your next renewal date after 31.01.21 when MTV will be removed from your account. At the end of the offer period data used will decrement from your plan allowance. You can cancel at any time. During the offer period, data used whilst streaming content on MTV Play whilst in the countries covered by your plan will not decrement from your plan’s inclusive data allowance. All other data used when you use MTV Play will decrement from your plan’s data allowance. You must have some of your plan’s data allowance left else you will be unable to stream content on MTV Play. The offer is non-transferable. MTV Play is for your personal, non-commercial use. You must not attempt to share, edit or adapt the content made available to you. It’s your responsibility to ensure that content accessed by under 18s is suitable for those viewing it. Content available via MTV Play may change from time to time. MTV Play terms apply.
