  • Why are you offering free data on this day? 

    To celebrate the amazing achievements of the England Women's football team reaching the final of Euro 22, we want to give all our customers free data so they can enjoy the game wherever they are.

  • Who does this apply to?

    We are zero rating the mobile network for EE and BT Mobile customers. The zero rating applies to PAYM, PAYG, and all SME customers excluding Business Connect. 

  • Does it apply to MVNOs?

    Unfortunately, data will not be zero rated for Plusnet customers, or other MVNOs. 

  • Are you offering free data for the whole day?

    Free data will start at midday and run until midnight on Sunday 31st July 2022.

  • What do I need to do to get this?

    You don’t need to do anything. Eligible customers will automatically enjoy free data between midday and midnight on
    Sunday 31st July.

  • I’m an SME customer. Will I get the offer?

    SME customers on EE will benefit from the offer, excluding Business Connect.

  • I’m currently in collections. Will I be able to get the offer?

    No. Customers in collections will not get the offer.

  • I’m not on BT Mobile or EE, but I think my provider uses the EE network. Will I get the offer?

    No. Only customers on BT Mobile and EE will get the offer.

  • I’ve run out of data - what does this mean for me?

    Even if you’ve run out of data before Sunday on your usual plan, you’ll be able to access data services for the 12 hour period. You won’t incur any additional charges.

  • I’m currently overseas – will my data be zero rated?

    No, this offer will only work for customer in the UK.

  • I’m visiting the UK and roaming on the network. Will data be zero rated for me?  

    No, this offer will only work for EE and BT Mobile customers.

  • I live close to the Northern Ireland / Ireland border – what does this mean for me?

    If you’re connected to the network in Northern Ireland, your data usage will be zero rated, but if your connection crosses over the border to the Irish network you may be charged.

  • What network speed will I receive?

    You’ll continue to receive the same data speed you get as part of your plan. To ensure our all our customers get to enjoy the game, we may need to temporarily throttle data speeds, but you should still be able to enjoy the game uninterrupted.

  • I'm currently using my Reserve Data allowance. What speed will I receive?

    Customers using their Reserve Data will continue to experience their Reserve Data speed.

  • I'm currently using my Stay Connected allowance. What speed will I receive?

    Customers using their Stay Connected allowance will continue to experience their Stay Connected speed.

  • I’m a BT / EE employee - will my data be zero rated?

    Yes, employees will benefit from this offer too.

  • Does it only apply if I’m using my device to watch the football game? 

    No, we are zero rating all data services between midday and midnight on Sunday 31st July.

  • I’m a Pay As You Go customer and have run out of credit, will my data be free?

    Yes, between midday and midnight on Sunday 31st July your data will be free.
