Got an old phone or tablet lying around? When you trade in your old device at EE you can use the value towards things like your early upgrade fee, the upfront cost of your new device, new accessories or use it to pay off your next bill. Alternatively you could even have the money transferred directly to your bank account.

Trade In, formerly known as Recycle and Reward, is a great way to benefit from your old devices. It takes the hassle out of disposing of your old device by letting you trade it in for an agreed price. Plus you can Trade In at any time that suits you.

To get a quote and trade in your device:
  1.  

    go to our online Trade In site

  2.  

    head to your nearest EE store

  3.  

    call 150 from your EE phone

Hand your device in store or send it in the prepaid envelope we'll post to you.

Who is eligible to trade in their device?

There is no limitation on who can trade in their device. You might:

  1.  

    have joined EE and have an old device from another network

  2.  

    upgraded with EE and got a new device

  3.  

    have an old device (on any network) that’s gathering dust in a drawer

What we need to know:
  1.  

    the device model or IMEI number (dial *#06# for your IMEI number)

  2.  

    the condition of your device including any damage

On Apple devices you must turn off Find My iPhone before sending us your device.

What if I don't return my device or return the wrong device?

If you're trading in over the phone and you don't send back your device within 14 days as agreed, we'll charge the value of the discount given onto your next EE bill.

If you're trading in online and don't return your device within 14 days as agreed, we'll assume you've changed your mind and will cancel your order.

If you send us a different device to the one agreed we will send your old device back with a new returns pack. You will then have five days to send us the correct device or we will charge the value of the discount given onto your next EE bill.

Although we pay for the postage via a prepaid envelope, it's your responsibility to make sure your device is adequately protected in the envelope and insured for loss.

If your device is damaged when we inspect it:
  1.  

    we'll contact you by text or email with a revised quote

  2.  

    you'll have three working days to let us know if you're not happy with the revised quote

  3.  

    if we've not heard from you after the three working days is up, we'll pay the revised amount - otherwise we'll return your phone

If you entered the wrong device model when you signed up for Trade In, we’ll pay the amount listed on our website for the actual device model you sent.

Payment straight into your bank account will take:
  1.  

    around three working days from when we receive your device if there's no change to your original quote

  2.  

    up to six working days after receiving your device if it's damaged and we need to change your quote
