When can I upgrade?

To find out if you’re ready to upgrade, just:

  •  

    log into My EE to see when you can upgrade for free

  •  

    text UP to 150

  •  

    follow the prompts to log in from our shop pages. You’ll get a better price as you’re already with EE

You can upgrade without a fee if you’ve got less than 45 days until your current plan ends.

Or on the date shown on My EE if you’re eligible for an Annual Upgrade.

Can I upgrade if I’m on a shared plan?

Can I upgrade if I’m on a shared plan?

Yes, if you’re eligible. But there’s a few important things to remember:

  • upgrades must be done by the account holder
  • if you’re upgrading and want to join a shared plan, you’ll need an account holder to attach to
  • if you’re the account holder of a shared plan and want to move to your own plan, you’ll need to appoint a new account holder first
  • if you want to become an account holder, the existing account holder will need to move to their own plan or become a sharer

Yes, you can cancel your upgrade if you contact our Channel Returns team on 0800 079 0103 within 14 days (opening hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm) - unless you've traded in your device.
