What does a PAC code do?
A Porting Authorisation Code (PAC) allows you to take your old number with you when you change service providers. You'll be asked for your PAC when you want to transfer your number either to us from your old provider or from us to a new provider.
How do I get my PAC from EE?
To request a PAC from us free of charge:
- Visit our Leave EE page
- Enter your email, username and password to Log in (if you're not logged in)
- Choose to change mobile provider
Need to know
If you have multiple numbers on your account, you can only do this by logging into your online account or by calling us.
After you request a PAC, we'll send you a text message straightaway with your PAC. This text will also contain Switching Information and a link to your online account.
Our Switching Information will provide you with details on what charges you'll have to pay if you're terminating your contract with us before your minimum term ends.
Need to know
Your PAC is valid for 30 days.
If you do not use your PAC within that time, your account with us will stay open and you'll be charged for our service as normal.
How do I get my PAC code from my old provider?
You'll need to get in touch with your old provider and request your PAC from them.
Does it cost anything to get my PAC code from EE?
No, you can get your PAC free of charge.
However, please be aware that if you leave EE before your plan ends then early cancellation charges may apply as well as any remaining Add to Plan charges.
