The new Motorola Razr doesn't accept a physical SIM, it uses a non-removable embedded eSIM instead. Setting up your eSIM is easy, just follow our guide.

A Motorola razr purchased from EE should come with an eSIM pack. If you don't have the eSIM don't worry, it's easy to order a new or replacement one.

  1.

    go to My EE

  2.

call 150 from your EE phone or 0800 956 6000 from an alternative line

  3.

    pop into an EE store

You'll be provided with an eSIM pack that contains a QR code to use for setup.

To set up first connect to WIFI and then:

  1.

go to Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > Advanced > Carrier

  2.

    select Add carrier

  3.

then use your camera to scan the QR code on your eSIM pack and once recognised your eSIM will automatically begin downloading.

If you’re upgrading your phone to the Motorola razr you’ll need to go to www.ee.co.uk/simswap to complete a SIM swap once you’ve set up the eSIM on your phone. You’ll also need the 12-digit SIM serial number from your eSIM pack and be able to receive a pin verification to your old SIM.

If you can’t use your old SIM, you’ll need to contact us so we can swap this over for you:

  1.

call 150 from an EE phone or 0800 956 6000 from an alternative line

What is the eSIM QR code for my Motorola razr?

What is the eSIM QR code for my Motorola razr?

QR stands for "quick response" and is a type of barcode that is used to provide easy access to information through a smartphone. QR codes are unique and need to be captured with your device's camera. There's a QR code reader built into the Razr OS which will launch during setup, so there's no need to download a third-party app.

When you capture your eSIM QR code, the information contained in it is sent back to EE and allows us to add the eSIM onto your phone in a safe and secure way.

If you're having issues downloading your eSIM:

  1.

call 150 from an EE phone or 0800 956 6000 from an alternative line
