How do I set up my iPhone or iPad?

You’ll need to do a few things to reset your iPhone or iPad once it’s been unlocked:

  1. 1

check you have the latest software installed – connect to iTunes via a PC, Mac or laptop

  2. 2

remove your SIM card and insert the new SIM card

  3. 3

    complete the set-up process

Don't have another SIM card you can use? To complete the process:

  1. 1

    back up your iPhone

  2. 2

go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase iPhone and delete all data

  3. 3

follow the set-up as a brand new iPhone, and the handset will be unlocked

  4. 4

complete the set-up assistant and restore your back-up

You might see this message:

"The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier store."

If so, just follow these steps:

  1. 1

    restore your iPhone

  2. 2

    check your device is unlocked

Please note: if you've 'jailbroken' your iPhone or iPad, this may damage the device and we can’t be held responsible for any errors that may occur.
