Check your digital TV coverage and channels

Check the Digital UK coverage checker. This site shows which channels are available in your area and the quality of reception you can expect.

Planned maintenance

You can check Digital UK's planned engineering works for details of any maintenance or developments in your region. If your TV service has suddenly stopped working and you've not changed anything, it may be a temporary issue. The site will also let you know when you need to re-scan your channels.

Check your TV aerial and set-up

Many problems with digital TV are caused by problems with your aerial, or basic aerial set-up.

Re-scan your EE TV channels

From time to time, you'll need to re-scan your EE TV channels. If you've just fixed a problem with your aerial cable set-up or you've bought a new aerial, a quick re-scan will help get you up and running.

The weather

Believe it or not, the weather can have an effect on the quality of your television picture – especially if you're using a set-top aerial. Snow, high winds or high-pressure weather can all cause problems with your picture. If this becomes annoying, consider fitting a new rooftop (or loft) aerial.

4G phone signals

Occasionally, signals from 4G masts can cause issues with digital TV signals. You may have got a postcard from at800 if they predicted you may be affected. You can find out more from at800.

Still having problems?

Try restarting all your TV equipment:

  • unplug your EE TV, TV and any connected devices e.g. games consoles, DVD players, Blu-ray players
  • wait 30 seconds
  • plug all your equipment back in and wait for them to restart
