The EE Entertainment app consolidates a wide range of live and on-demand content in one place so you don't need to trawl through different apps to find what you want to watch. Plus if you're an EE pay monthly customer, you can also use the app to find and redeem offers that you may be eligible for from selected content providers.

Once selecting a TV show or movie on the EE Entertainment app, you'll be taken through to the relevant partner content app to watch your content.

The app is available to everyone, not just EE customers, and can be downloaded from the App Store for iOS devices and the Google Play store for Android devices.

How much does the EE Entertainment app cost to use?

Nothing! The app is free to download and use.

However, data used within the app will be taken out of your monthly data allowances.

If the EE Entertainment app won't open, or you're having technical issues while using the app, then in the first instance uninstall the app and then reinstall it again.

If this hasn't fixed the issue then:

Can I link my phone number to my EE Entertainment profile?

Can I link my phone number to my EE Entertainment profile?

Yes, if you’re an EE customer you can use your phone number to sign in to your EE Entertainment profile. Plus by linking your profile in the app to your EE account, you may be able to see which offers from our content partners are available to you. It will also allow you to use the same EE Entertainment profile across multiple devices.

During your profile set-up on the app, you’ll be asked to consent to the use of your phone number. If your device is on the EE mobile network with the correct SIM, the phone number will be detected automatically. If not, you’ll need to enter the number you wish to use and confirm it by confirming a text verification code.

Good to know:

If you’ve already started using the app as a Guest, you’ll need to reset your account and set up a new one selecting “EE Customer”.

It’s not possible to subsequently associate an account with a phone number having initially started using the app as a Guest.

Offers are only available to eligible EE pay monthly customers. 

To redeem offers through the app, you'll need to have set up an EE Entertainment profile with your phone number. After selecting an offer, you’ll receive a text message to confirm you would like to proceed so you’ll need your device to hand. Once you’ve confirmed, the offer will be added to your plan. Offers will be charged to your EE bill.

Good to know:

If you’re an EE customer on a pay as you go pack or Flex plan then these offers are not available to you. However, you could always switch to an EE pay monthly plan to benefit from these offers.

Do I need to subscribe to content providers?

Do I need to subscribe to content providers?

Yes, to watch content you'll need active subscriptions to other content providers.

Additionally, free-to-air content providers may ask you to sign into an account to watch their content, so you may need to set up an account if you don't have one.

Your data allowances will depend on what plan you're on. You can see what your data allowances are and keep track of your data usage in multiple ways:

Can I cast from the EE Entertainment app?

As you don't watch content through the app you can't cast from the app itself.

You may be able to cast from partner content apps but it will depend on your device, the app you're trying to cast from and the method you're using. Please check with partner content apps directly to see how to cast on a big screen from their app.

What happens to my EE Entertainment profile if I change my phone number?

What happens to my EE Entertainment profile if I change my phone number?

If you change your phone number, you’ll be prompted by the app to confirm that you’ve changed your number. If you have, you’ll be required to enter your previous number to prove it’s okay for you to update your EE Entertainment profile.

If this is correct, the app will automatically update your profile if you’re on 4G. If you’re on WiFi, you’ll need to confirm a text verification code for your new number.

Alternatively, to keep using your previous phone number, you can do so after verifying that you still own that number by confirming a text verification code.

Good to know:

If you’re unable to confirm any phone number then you’ll have to select “New User” and reset your EE Entertainment profile.

What happens to my EE Entertainment profile if I change my device?

If you change your device, simply sign in to the EE Entertainment app from your new device with the same phone number to access your existing profile. You’ll be asked to authenticate your phone number with a text verification code if you’re on WiFi but if you’re on 4G, the authentication will be done automatically.

Good to know:

We recommend completely signing out of the EE Entertainment app on your old device to prevent any unauthorised access of your EE Entertainment profile from that device.

Can I use the EE Entertainment app abroad?

Yes, the app works abroad. But remember, you can't watch content through the app itself so any data used on partner content apps may be chargeable.

Content within partner content apps may differ between countries due to entertainment rights agreements. Please check with partner content apps directly to see what service is available abroad.
