Need to move a call from your iPad to your iPhone? It’s so easy to start a call on one of your devices and transfer it to your iPhone in just a few steps.

All you need to do is make sure you:
  1.  

    Go to General in your chosen device settings

  2.  

    Select Hand Off and toggle on

If you’re on a call on one of your devices and want to move it to your iPhone, depending on what iPhone you’re using, you will need to:

iPhone 8 Plus or earlier
  1.  

    Double tap the home button on your iPhone - this will open the App Switcher, which shows your recently used apps

  2.  

    At the bottom of the screen, you will see a small icon with your call details

  3.  

    Tap the icon to pick up the call on your iPhone

  1.  

    While you’re on a call on one of your other Apple devices, swipe up from the bottom to the middle of your screen and hold until you see the App Switcher

  2.  

    At the bottom of the screen, you will see a small icon with the details of your call

  3.  

    Tap the icon to pick up the call on your iPhone

Then you should be able to move your call between your devices right away.

If you’re still having problems, check that Call Waiting is on in your iPhone settings.

All you need to do is:
  1.  

    Go to Phone

  2.  

    If Wi-Fi Calling isn’t on, select Wi-Fi Calling and toggle on Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone
