How Do I Add More Plans To Get More Data?

When you add a new plan to your existing EE account from 1 June 2018, we’ll reward you with an additional 1GB of data every month – we call this a 1GB data boost.

How does the 1GB data boost work?

How does the 1GB data boost work?

There are two ways to get a 1GB data boost:

  1. 1

add a new pay monthly phone, tablet, 4GEE WiFi or SIM Only plan to your account and we’ll give you 1GB of data every single month

  2. 2

upgrade one of your additional plans and you’ll get 1GB of data added to an eligible plan

Who can get a 1GB data boost?

Who can get a 1GB data boost?

Data boosts are available to our customers who take out an extra plan. The extra plan could be for you or for someone else like a family member, but the maximum number of plans you can have on a standard account is five.

Here are the plans that are eligible for a data boost:

  1.

    4G handset plans

  2.

    4G SIM Only plans

  3.

    4GEE WiFi plans

  4.

    4G Tablet plans

  5.

    Apple Watch Series 3 plans

(just so you know, Apple Watch plans will contribute a 1GB data boost to the lead account but cannot receive the data boost)

How many 1GB data boosts can I have?

How many 1GB data boosts can I have?

You’ll get an extra 1GB for every new plan you add, so if you start off with one plan, you can add up to four, which gives you four boosts of 1GB data. If you start off with two plans, you can add up to three, which gives you three boosts of 1GB data – and so on.

It works the same way when you upgrade additional plans, so you’ll get an extra 1GB for every additional plan you upgrade on your account.

Can I gift my data boost?

Can I gift my data boost?

Yes you can gift it to other plans on your account. Or you can keep it for yourself.

How long can I keep my data boost for?

How long can I keep my data boost for?

Each data boost will refresh on your bill date, and you’ll keep getting the monthly data boost as long as the new plans remain on your account.

What will stop me getting a 1GB data boost?

What will stop me getting a 1GB data boost?

Data boosts are only available for new plans, so if you move an existing EE plan to your account, you will not receive a data boost. If you have multiple EE plans they must be on the same account to gift data.

Also, the following plans are not eligible for a data boost:

  1.

    4G Home Broadband plans

  2.

child sharer plans on a Shared Plan

  3.

    3G plans

Can I earn a data boost if I upgrade my original plan?

Can I earn a data boost if I upgrade my original plan?

You must always have one lead plan on your account to get data boosts from your additional plans. This is known as your qualifying plan. The qualifying plan will not be eligible to earn a data boost, even on upgrade. Each plan after that will earn a 1GB data boost, up to a maximum of 4GB of data each month.

When will the 1GB data boost be added?

When will the 1GB data boost be added?

If you add a new plan or upgrade an additional plan on your existing EE account between 1 June – 18 July, a 1GB data boost will be automatically added to your qualifying plan from 27 June. We’ll text you to let you know when it’s been added. Then you’re free to dish it out around your account. Any additional data boosts that you earn in the future, will be added to the same plan.

What if I cancel any of my plans?

What if I cancel any of my plans?

If you have an additional plan giving you a 1GB data boost and it is removed from your account, the data boost will be removed at the same time. We’ll text you to let you know when this happens. If you cancel the qualifying line, you will lose all data boost benefits unless there is another line eligible to transfer them to.
