How do I manage my data usage for 4GEE WiFi?
You can check your data usage for 4GEE WiFi at any time:
- log in to EE or use the EE app
- or go to add-on.ee.co.uk
We'll text if you use up your data allowance but it's impossible to go over your limit. If your data runs out, you'll automatically be asked to buy a data or roaming add-on.
How do I buy add-ons for 4GEE WiFi?
Whether you’re a pay monthly or pay as you go 4GEE WiFi customer, you can buy an add on using the below information. Just make sure you’re connected to the 4G network.
- open your browser and go to add-on.ee.co.uk
- go to Purchase and select the data add-on you want to buy
- activate the data add-on you've purchased
If you're a pay monthly customer the cost of the add-on will be automatically added to your bill and will appear on your next pay monthly bill as a one-off charge.
If you're a pay as you go customer the cost of the add-on will be taken from your top up balance.
Can I use my 4GEE WiFi device abroad?
Yes but there are a few things to know when using your 4GEE WiFi device abroad:
- if you’re outside the UK but inside the EU (including Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Switzerland) you can use your 4GEE WiFi device or tablet data allowances to get online for no extra cost
- make sure data roaming is enabled on your device
- if you're outside the UK or the EU, the internet won’t work on your 4GEE WiFi device unless you have an active roaming add-on

How do I buy roaming add-ons for 4GEE WiFi?
You can buy a roaming add-on before you go:
- log in to EE
- go to Menu > Plan & add-ons
- go to Add-on > Buy add-ons
- select the add-on you want to buy
Alternatively, you can buy an add-on before you go through the 4G network:
- open your browser and go to add-on.ee.co.uk
- go to Purchase and select the data add-on you want to buy
- activate the data add-on you've purchased
You can also buy a roaming add-on while you're abroad:
- open your browser to connect to a page showing available add-ons
- select the data add-on you want to buy
- activate the data add-on you've purchased
The cost of a pay monthly roaming add-on will be automatically added to your pay monthly bill and will appear on your next pay monthly bill as a one-off charge.
The cost of a pay as you go roaming add-on will be taken from your top up balance.
How do I use my 4GEE WiFi device abroad?
Need to know
Make sure that data roaming is enabled before you go.
You'll need to make sure you're connected to the 4G network:
- go to Connection Manager or type 192.168.1.1 into your browser
- log in - the default username and password is1. username: admin2. password: admin
- go to Settings
- select the Data Roaming radio button
Alternatively, to enable data roaming without your 4GEE WiFi device:
- call 150
You have two options to connect to the internet while roaming:
- manual: your device will only connect when you click Connect
- automatic: your device automatically connects to the internet when it’s switched on - for ease when roaming abroad select automatic
