How does the Roam Further Pass work?

The pass allows you to use your standard minutes, text and data plan allowances in five additional countries abroad just as you would in the UK and EU.

The destinations included in the Roam Further Pass are:

    New Zealand

Good to know:

If your plan comes with more than 15GB of data per month, a fair use policy of 15GB will apply when roaming abroad.

To add the Roam Further Pass to your plan as a chargeable standalone add-on:

  1.  

    text ROAM FURTHER to 150

Or select the pass as your Swappable Benefit if you have a 5G Smart or Smart plan.

    log in to My EE or use the My EE app

  2.  

    go to Menu > Plans, Swappables & add-ons

  3.  

    select Swappables and follow the steps to select the pass

How much does the Roam Further Pass cost?

How much does the Roam Further Pass cost?

£10 per month. This cost will be added to your monthly mobile bill and will appear as a separate line in the add-ons section of your bill. If you add this service in the middle of your monthly billing period then the cost in the first month will be prorated.

Do you have a 5G Smart or Smart plan?

If you're on one of our 5G Smart or Smart plans, you'll be able to select this pass as a Swappable Benefit in your plan free of charge.

What happens if I select the Roam Further Pass as a Swappable Benefit?

If you select the pass as a Swappable Benefit but are currently paying for the pass, the chargeable version will be removed and replaced with the Swappable Benefit version.

Good to know:

If you change from the chargeable version to the Swappable Benefit version in the middle of your billing month, we'll credit your next bill with any remaining days on your chargeable version.

You'll be able to purchase a data add-ons. When you switch your device on abroad, we'll send you a text message with full details on how to purchase a data add-on.

Do I need to sign a contract for the Roam Further Pass?

Do I need to sign a contract for the Roam Further Pass?

The Roam Further Pass is a 30-day rolling add-on so once added it will stay on your account, with the cost added to your monthly mobile bill, until you remove it.

This means you have the flexibility to add the Roam Further Pass to your account for one month, remove it the following month and then re-add the month after.

Do you have a 5G Smart or Smart plan?

If you've selected the pass as a Swappable Benefit in your 5G Smart or Smart plan, there are no additional charges or contracts to sign.

If you have the pass as a chargeable standalone add-on:

  1.  

    text STOP ROAM FURTHER to 150

If you cancel during the middle of your monthly billing period then the cost in the final month will be prorated and you'll only be billed for the days you had the pass.

Alternatively, if you have the pass as a Swappable Benefit:

  1.  

    log in to My EE or use the My EE app

  2.  

    go to Menu > Plans, Swappables & add-ons

  3.  

    select Swappables and follow the steps to remove or swap the pass
