Transfer from another OS

You can transfer information from your current phone or tablet to the iPad with Retina display, even if you're coming to Apple from Android, BlackBerry or Windows.

Activating and transferring your information from android, BlackBerry and Windows to apple

  1. Use your existing device manufacturer's PC software to copy any music, pictures or videos to your PC. Please refer to the existing support on your manufacturer's website for further help.
  2. Back up your contacts and calendar appointments to a Google account/Hotmail or exchange for business. Note: Google and Hotmail have the ability to be set up using exchange, which means you can sync your contacts and calendar as well as your email.
  3. Activate your new SIM card.
  4. Download the latest version of iTunes to your PC. This can be downloaded from http://www.apple.com/itunes. If you already have iTunes installed, it may tell you that an update is available - all you need to do is follow the step by step instructions.
  5. Connect your new device to iTunes using the provided USB cable.
  6. Activate your iPad with Retina display by following the setup wizard. For more information, please refer to the Setup menu to the left.
