Using the app store

Here's how to use the app store on your Google Nexus 7.

  1. On your Home screen, tap the All applications tab.
  2. Tap on Play Store.
  3. If you have an existing Google account, tap Existing, or tap New to set up a new Google account.

If you have an existing google account:

  1. Add email address and tap the Enter key.
  2. Add email account password, and tap on Sign in.
  3. If you want to buy apps, add your bank card info and click Save. Or click Skip if you don't want to add this information right now.
  4. Amend the Back up and restore option to your choices, and tap Next.
  5. The Play Store will now be available to search for and download all your favourite apps.

To set up a new google account:

  1. Enter your first and last name and tap Next.
  2. Enter a new email address and tap Next.
  3. If your email address is not already in use enter a new password, then re-type and tap Next.
  4. Enter your recovery information and tap Next.
  5. Choose whether to join Google+ or tap on Not now.
  6. Tap on Arrow to continue.
  7. Complete the Captcha unlock information, and tap Next.
  8. Amend the Back up and restore option to your choices, and tap Next.
  9. The Play Store will now be available to search for and download all your favourite apps.
