Picture messages can contain text, pictures and sounds.
You can only send picture messages to phones which support picture messaging or to email addresses.
Follow these instructions to select settings for picture messaging on your BlackBerry Curve 8520.
- Find MMS
Press the Menu key
Scroll to Options and press the Navigation key
Scroll to MMS and press the Navigation key
- Select setting
Highlight one of the following options:
Multimedia Reception, go to a
Automatic Retrieval, go to b
Allow Delivery Confirmation, go to c
Allow Read Confirmation, go to d
Confirm Delivery, go to e
Confirm Read, go to f
Reject Anonymous Messages, go to g
Reject Advertisements, go to h
a) Multimedia Reception
Press the Navigation key
Highlight Always, Never or Home Only and press the Navigation key
b) Automatic Retrieval
Press the Navigation key
Highlight Always, Never or Home Only and press the Navigation key
c) Allow Delivery Confirmation
Press the Navigation key to activate or deactivate the function
When the box next to the menu item is ticked, the function is activated
d) Allow Read Confirmation
Press the Navigation key to activate or deactivate the function
When the box next to the menu item is ticked, the function is activated
e) Confirm Delivery
Press the Navigation key to activate or deactivate the function
When the box next to the menu item is ticked, the function is activated
f) Confirm Read
Press the Navigation key to activate or deactivate the function
When the box next to the menu item is ticked, the function is activated
g) Reject Anonymous Messages
Press the Navigation key to activate the function
When the box next to the menu item is ticked, the function is activated
h) Reject Advertisements
Press the Navigation key to activate the function
When the box next to the menu item is ticked, the function is activated
- Save settings
Press the Menu key
Scroll to Save and press the Navigation key
- Exit
Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.
