Clear cache, delete cookies

Here's how to clear the cache and delete cookies from your BlackBerry Curve 8520.

Clear cache

The cache is a memory which is used to save data temporarily. A copy of the web pages you have visited is saved in the cache.

The next time you open the same web page, data is retrieved from the cache speeding up the load time.

Follow these instructions to clear the cache.

  1. Find Cache Operations
Scroll to web'n'walk and press the Navigation key
    Press the Menu key
Scroll to Options and press the Navigation key
Scroll to Cache Operations and press the Navigation key

  2. Clear cache
Scroll to Clear next to Content Cache and press the Navigation key

  3. Exit
Press Disconnect to return to standby mode

Delete cookies

Cookies consist of data placed in the cache. The data can be login information or other information about the choices you have made on a web page.

This makes it possible to adjust the contents of the web page to your preferences.

Follow these instructions to delete cookies.
