Set up a SIM PIN

Find out how to enable or change the SIM PIN.

  1. From the home screen, tap the Menu button.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap Security.
    Note: For devices running Jelly Bean version of Android or over, tap the More > Security.
  4. Scroll to and tap Set up SIM card lock.
  5. Tap Lock SIM card.
  6. Enter the required SIM PIN.
  7. Tap OK.
    Note: The default SIM PIN is 5555.

The SIM PIN is now enabled.

Change the SIM PIN

  1. From the home screen, tap the Menu button.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap Security.
    Note: For devices running Jelly Bean version of Android or over, tap the More > Security.
  4. Tap Set up SIM card lock.
  5. Tap Change SIM PIN.
  6. Enter the correct SIM Pin, then tap OK.
  7. Enter the new SIM PIN, then tap OK.
  8. Re-enter the new SIM PIN, then tap OK.

The SIM is now changed.
