Change the WiFi channel

Find out how to change the WiFi channel on your device.

  1. Connect the device to your laptop or computer via USB cable or WiFi connection.
  2. Launch a web browser and in the address bar, enter 192.168.1.1, then click the arrow icon or press Enter.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Enter the required username and password, then click Log In.
Note: The default username and password is admin.
  5. Click the WLAN dropdown.
  6. Click WLAN Advanced Settings.
  7. Click the Channel dropdown box.
  8. Click the required channel.
  9. Click Apply

The WiFi channel has been changed.

Note: Most WiFi routers in the UK are using channels 1, 6 and 11 as these are the default channels for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. It is recommended to try these first, before any others.
