Internet setup

 

The WAP and internet profile contains a number of settings that make it possible for the phone to make the type of connection you want.

Follow these instructions to set up a WAP and internet profile for GPRS.

1. Find Personal config. sett

  • Press the Navigation key to access the main menu
  • Scroll to Settings and press the Navigation key
  • Scroll to Configuration and press the Navigation key
  • Scroll to Personal config. sett. and press the Navigation key

2. Create new or edit existing WAP and internet profile

  • If no data connections have been created:
    • Press the Navigation key
    • Highlight Web and press the Navigation key
  • If data connections have been created already:
    • Press Options
    • Scroll to Add new and press the Navigation key
    • Highlight Web and press the Navigation key
  • If you want to edit an existing WAP and Internet profile:
    • Highlight the required WAP and Internet profile and press the Navigation key

3. Enter profile name

  • Scroll to Account name and press the Navigation key
  • Key in internet and press the Navigation key

4. Enter homepage

  • Scroll to Homepage and press the Navigation key
  • Key in everywhere and press the Navigation key

5. Enter username

  • Scroll to User name and press the Navigation key
  • Key in eesecure and press the Navigation key

6. Enter password

  • Scroll to Password and press the Navigation key
  • Key in one2one and press the Navigation key
  • Press the Navigation key again to confirm

7. Deactivate preferred access point

  • Scroll to Use pref. access pt. and press the Navigation key
  • Scroll to No and press the Navigation key
  • If required, press the Navigation key to accept

8. Enable proxy

  • Scroll to Access point settings and press the Navigation key
  • Scroll to Proxy and press the Navigation key
  • Scroll to Enable and press the Navigation key

9. Enter IP address

  • Scroll to Proxy address and press the Navigation key
  • Key in 149.254.201.135 and press the Navigation key

10. Enter port

  • Scroll to Proxy port and press the Navigation key
  • Key in 8080 and press the Navigation key

11. Select data bearer

  • Scroll to Data bearer and press the Navigation key
  • Scroll to Packet data and press the Navigation key

12. Begin editing the bearer settings

  • Scroll to Bearer settings and press the Navigation key

13. Delete APN name

  • Scroll to Packet data acc. pt. and press the Navigation key
  • Press Clear to clear the input field
  • Key in everywhere and press the Navigation key

14. Select network type

  • Scroll to Network type and press the Navigation key
  • Highlight IPv4 or IPv6 and press the Navigation key

15. Select authentication type

  • Scroll to Authentication type and press the Navigation key
  • Highlight Normal and press the Navigation key

16. Delete username

  • Scroll to User name and press the Navigation key
  • Press Clear to clear the input field
  • Press the Navigation key to save

17. Delete password

  • Scroll to Password and press the Navigation key
  • Press Clear to clear the input field
  • Press the Navigation key to save the changes
  • Press the Navigation key again to confirm

18. Activate profile

  • Press Back three times
  • Highlight the WAP and Internet profile you have just set up (internet) and press Options
  • Scroll to Activate and press the Navigation key

19. Save and exit

  • Press Disconnect to save the settings and return to stand-by mode
