It's not possible to use my phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot

If you can't use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot, there may be several causes of the problem.

It's important to find out if you can use your phone's internet connection. If you can't use your phone's internet connection, you need to solve this problem first. When the problem is solved, you will most likely also be able to use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Solution 1 of 2: The password used on the other device is incorrect
To use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot, you need to key in the password you selected when you set up your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot on the other device.
Check the password for the Wi-Fi hotspot on your phone and key in the correct password on the other device.

Slide your finger downwards starting from the top of the screen.

Press the settings icon.

Press Connections.

Press Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.

Press Mobile Hotspot.

Press the menu icon.

Press Configure Mobile Hotspot.

Press the field below "Network name" and key in the required name.

Press the drop down list below "Security".

Press WPA2 PSK to password protect your Wi-Fi hotspot.

Press the field below "Password" and key in the required password.

Press SAVE.

Press the indicator to turn on the function.

If Wi-Fi is turned on, press OK.

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

Turn on Wi-Fi on the other device.

Find the list of available Wi-Fi networks and select your own Wi-Fi hotspot.

Key in the password for your Wi-Fi hotspot and establish the connection.

When the connection is established, you can access the internet from the other device.
